Margot Robbie Reveals a Male Costar Once Told Her to ‘Eat Less’ by Handing Her a Book

Margot Robbie is spilling the tea — and, trigger warning, this one’s outrageous.

On Monday, February 9, the Barbie superstar, 35, told Charli xcx during a sitdown for Complex that a male actor she once worked with tried to “subtly” tell her to lose weight… by handing her a copy of French Women Don’t Get Fat.

“Very, very early in my career, a male actor gave me this book,” she told Charli xcx. “It was essentially a book telling you to eat less. I was like, ‘Whoa — f**k you, dude.’”

Robbie didn’t name names — but the way she tells it, karma is a B, because this actor is now ancient history.

“I don’t know where he is now,” she added. “It was really back in the day.”

Charli xcx couldn’t help teasing the mystery actor, quipping, “Your career’s over, babe.”

The 2007 book, by author Mireille Guiliano, is marketed as a lifestyle guide and includes a “three month” reset for American women on how to decrease their portion sizes, and packed with her tips on how she still eats and imbibes richly at restaurants while staying thin.

Nonetheless, Robbie made it clear how the gesture landed: insulting and completely unnecessary.

Wherever and whoever that actor is, Robbie — who has an estimated net worth of $60 million, and who has since become one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars — has clearly got the last laugh.
