The man who was arrested at Travis Kelce’s house while attempting to serve deposition papers to Taylor Swift on behalf of Justin Baldoni’s lawyers has agreed to participate in a 12-month diversion program to avoid conviction and the loss of his private investigator license.
“It is very important to me to successfully complete the program in order to put this behind me and keep my PI license as it is my livelihood and how I support my family,” Justin Lee Fisher wrote in the court documents which were filed with the diversion agreement on Tuesday, December 2 and obtained by Star.
In the papers, the former police officer — who says he was just doing his job as a process server — explained the events leading to his arrest at the NFL player’s Leawood, Kansas, gated property on September 15 at around 2 a.m.
“I was attempting to serve a subpoena,” he wrote. “I went to the address through the gate when it opened and attempted to speak to the security guard in an attempt to serve the paperwork. I was never told to leave or even spoken to. Police arrived and arrested me.”
Fisher will need to pay a $1,000 diversion fee plus $523 in other fines.

Baldoni, 41, wanted to depose the pop star as part of his legal battle with his It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively, 38.
According to a letter submitted to the court on September 12, which was obtained by People, Swift “did not agree” to testify and has “no material role” in the matter, her attorney, Doug Baldridge of Venable LLP wrote, adding that the superstar would not be available until October 20 — thus missing Baldoni’s deadline for discovery.
