Exes Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson meet up at SNL’s anniversary.

They were back where it all began. As a star-studded crowd gathered for the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special Feb. 16, fans wondered who would make the cut and be seated in Studio 8H in NYC’s Rockefeller Center. Among those on the guest list, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson who first kissed and sparked a romance during Kim’s 2021 hosting gig on the late-night comedy show.

The exes didn’t collaborate on a sketch together this time around – Kim appeared with Kristen Wiig, Scarlett Johansson and Ana Gasteyer in a Maharelle Sisters bit- and a source says the 44-year-old made a point not to be photographed with Pete, 31. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t reconnect. “They saw each other behind the scenes and had a chance to chat for a while,” says the insider, adding that they were also spotted talking at the afterparties.

“Kim has a soft spot for Pete and always will.” The comedian was the reality star’s first relationship following her split from exhusband Kanye West, and though it ended in August 2022 after just nine months, “Kim cherishes the time they spent together,” says the source. At the time,

Pete, who has been open about his mental health struggles, was overwhelmed by Kim’s world. “He was so inexperienced with fame, that made it difficult,” says the source, adding that Kanye’s “bullying” of the actor, including social media insults and a video depicting violence against him, “definitely didn’t help.”

Still, the source says the exes, who also shared quality time inside 2023’s Met Gala, could go for round 2. “They had something good and pure,” notes the source. “Kim says, ‘Never say never’ when friends ask if she’d give him another chance.”
