The scene was a madhouse outside the Paris court when Kim Kardashian — dressed in black and sporting a $3 million diamond necklace — arrived May 13 to testify against the robbers who held her at gunpoint and stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry from her in the French capital in 2016.

Inside, the 44-year-old bravely recounted what happened, tearing up occasionally during her nearly five hours on the stand. “I absolutely did think I was going to die,” the mom of four recalled, recounting her terror as the thieves, dressed as cops, entered her room demanding her $4 million diamond engagement ring.

Kim described fearing they would rape or kill her, saying she managed to free herself after they left her on the bathroom floor, gagged and bound with zip ties. Her ordeal, the reality star continued, destroyed her sense of safety. She’s upped her personal security and no longer keeps any jewelry in her home. “It really changed everything,” she said.

The law student was prepared for court, an insider tells Star, but was nervous to face her attackers, dubbed the “grandpa robbers” by the press because some are in their 60s and 70s.

“She’s still traumatized by the experience,” says the insider. “Those people made her feel unsafe and fearful for her life.” One defendant, Yunice Abbas, 72, acknowledged involvement in the crime, saying, “I am formally and sincerely sorry.”
