Bethenny Frankel Jokes She’d Leave Influencing Behind for a Billionaire
Bethenny Frankel is getting frank about retirement.
The 54-year-old reality star turned influencer was a guest speaker during ADWEEK’s Social Media Week on Tuesday, May 13, and joked she would leave her influencing duties behind if she found a partner with a billion bucks.
“I would definitely retire — like if I end up with some billionaire on some big boat,” the Real Housewives of New York alum said.
However, the businesswoman seemingly backtracked on her statement, admitting, “I would end up doing social media on the boat.”
The Bravo star also shared some words of wisdom during her interview, telling those hoping to be in her shoes, “Be honest, be authentic — this is what I’m doing.”
The New York Times bestselling author made headlines last month after she announced she and her teenage daughter Bryn — whom she shares with ex-husband Jason Hoppy — were moving to Florida full-time. The mother-daughter duo are trading in their Greenwich, Connecticut estate for a property in the Sunshine State. Frankel already owns a condo in Miami.
Over the weekend, the entrepreneur opened up about the move in a TikTok video, telling followers that while she loved many things about Greenwich, living there was sometimes isolating.
“I haven’t been totally honest with you about this move. I’ve been pretty lonely the past five or six years,” she confessed. “And it started with the pandemic, which gave me license to be the introvert and insular person that everyone is surprised that I am.”
“I am excited for a life where I can just walk outside and see another person, meaning it doesn’t have to be a friend,” she continued. “It’s just like going get a coffee for me is socializing, like just existing with other humans.”
Frankel shared how Bryn, 15, is happy that her mom will be surrounded by her inner circle when they head to Florida.
“She said to me today, ‘Mom, I’m really excited for you to have friends’ because my closest friends in my life are here,” the beauty guru explained. “She’s like, ‘Well, I didn’t realize you were so lonely and unhappy.’”
