Brandon Blackstock had a special someone in his life before he passed away at 48 years old.
According to his obituary, the former talent manager — who died on August 7 following a three-year battle with melanoma — had a girlfriend following his split from Kelly Clarkson.
“After more than 20 years in the music business, Brandon found his way back to the mountains and the cowboy way of life he always wanted to live,” the obituary read. “He found a homestead and a love in Butte, Montana.”
“Brandon, along with his beautiful and loving partner in life and business, Brittney Marie Jones, started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana,” the tribute continued.

Blackstock and the “Piece by Piece” hitmaker tied the knot in 2013, separated in 2020, and finalized their divorce in 2022. They share two kids: River Rose, 11, and Remington Alexander, 9.
The obituary detailed how Blacktock’s “role as a father” was the most important part of his life.
“To say he was devoted seems cliché. It feels like an overused word, but it is the correct word,” the tribute stated. “He was a devoted father. His four children were and will always be his greatest love and his greatest legacy.”
Blackstock also shares daughter Savannah and son Seth with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth.
