Keith Urban Has ‘Always Been Conscious of His Appearance,’ But ‘Making a Bigger Effort’ Amid Divorce

First Nicole Kidman debuted her “breakup bangs.” Now her estranged husband, Keith Urban, is getting in on the post-split refresh. The 58-year-old, who moved out of the couple’s Nashville home at the end of the summer, showed up at the recent CMA Awards wearing a sheer shirt that exposed his toned, tattooed torso.

“Keith has always been fit, but in the last few months he’s really trimmed up a lot,” an insider tells Star of the 5-foot-10 country singer. “He’s lost at least 10 pounds and now has an eight-pack that he loves to show off.” (The insider notes that both Nic, also 58, and Keith’s faces also look particularly smooth.)

According to the insider, the “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer has hired a team to handle his wardrobe and grooming, and he “absolutely loves” the transformation. “He’s always been conscious of his appearance,” adds the insider. “But he’s making a bigger effort now that he’s single.” As is Nicole, says the insider. “She came out of this breakup looking refreshed and more youthful. That doesn’t happen on its own!”
