Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant Have a Rare PDA-Filled Date Night at ‘Ballerina’ Premiere

It’s not often that Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant make public appearances together — but when they do, they majorly deliver!

On Thursday, June 3, the Speed actor, 60, and his long-time partner, 52, attended the premiere of his latest flick, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.  

With Reeves dressed in a dapper dark suit and the visual artist in a plunging crimson gown, the pair reportedly shared a kiss before making their way down the carpet hand-in-hand and posing for photos together. 

Since going public with their romance in 2019, Reeves and Grant have kept their relationship mostly private — but have made no secret of their feelings for each other.

When asked about his last moment of bliss in a 2023 interview with People, Reeves didn’t hold back. “A couple of days ago with my honey,” he answered, referring to Grant. “We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.”

Grant has been equally as open about the joy the Matrix star has brought to her life.

“What I love about Keanu and our exchange is that we’re pushing each other to build new roads,” Grant said in a separate interview with People. “Seeing the other person’s problem-solving is inspiring, like, ‘Oh, well, okay, this one, that’s a cul-de-sac. How do I try this other thing?’”

“He’s such an inspiration to me,” she continued. “He’s so creative, he’s so kind. He works so hard.”

Grant also got candid about the positive side of finding happiness later in life. “The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun,” she shared. “I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.”

Reeves and Grant first met in 2009 at a dinner party. The pair became friends and eventually went on to form a professional relationship, publishing a book together in 2011 — Ode to Happiness, which Reeves wrote and Grant illustrated — before launching the publishing company X Artists’ Books in 2017.

“The book was made as a surprise, by me, for Keanu, as a private gift,” Grant told British Vogue. “All our friends sitting in the room got the giggles when I gave it to him — they said, ‘Please publish it!’ So that’s how we got into publishing.”

While there’s been lots of speculation about whether or not marriage is in the cards for the two, Grant played coy when asked about the possibility. 

“Over a glass of wine… I would love to tell you,” she quipped. “Love at every level is deeply important to my identity… I deeply value the experience of being in relationships.”
