Jennifer Lopez Suffers Injury During AMA Rehearsals as Tour Comeback Plans Face New Hurdles

It was not a good sign. On May 13, Jennifer Lopez shared some painful pics with her 248 million Instagram followers. “So… this happened,” the 55-year-old wrote, explaining that she’d injured her face wile rehearsing for the upcoming American Music Awards in Las Vegas.

The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer is counting on her return to the AMA stage 10 years after she first hosted to add juice to the world tour she’s finally resuming after scrapping dates last year.

Now sources tell Star J.Lo’s banged-up nose isn’t the only setback. “She’s very fired up and talking about how excited she is for the tour,” says an insider.

“But she’s also dealing with some serious nerves.” While she cited spending time with her “children, family and close friends” as the reason for canceling the This Is Me… Live Tour, it was widely reported that ticket sales had been poor.

While the reboot promises to feature her “greatest hits” to appeal to a wider audience, she’s still sweating. “She sees Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake dealing with issues on their tours,” says the insider.

“In this economy, it’s a rough time to be doing these big tours.”
