Jennifer Lawrence alerted the fashion detectives when she seemingly spilled a major hint about her second child’s name with a piece of jewelry.
The actress, 34, stepped out this week wearing a gold necklace that featured a chain with “C” and “L” pendant initials, igniting rumors that baby No. 2’s moniker may start with the letter “L”.
Lawrence looked stylish while on a stroll in New York City on Tuesday, July 8, in new photos published by the Daily Mail, showing the star clad in a cream-colored blouse and matching pants paired with gold accessories, a black Christian Dior handbag and beige flats.
The Silver Linings Playbook actress has yet to share any details about her bundle of joy, who was reportedly born in March. Around that time, the Hunger Games icon stepped out wearing a fuzzy blue sweater, fueling speculation that the couple’s newborn might be a boy.
In addition to their youngest child, Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, are also proud parents of 3-year-old son Cy, whom they welcomed in February 2022.
News broke of her family expanding in October 2024. “Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney,” Vogue wrote in the caption of the announcement post, noting that representatives for Lawrence confirmed the couple had a baby on the way.
The following day, an insider told People that the Joy star was “thrilled to be pregnant again.”

“She loves being a mom,” the insider shared. “It feels like the perfect timing to her. Her son will be 3 when the new baby arrives.”
Lawrence and her husband, 41, were said to be very excited about welcoming another child into their brood at such a strong point in their relationship. “She’s very happy with Cooke,” added the source. “They are great together. He’s super chill and it rubs off on her.”
The No Hard Feelings star previously told Vogue that her eldest was named after the painter Cy Twombly, one of her husband’s favorite artists.
Lawrence and her art gallerist hubby have been married since October 2019.
More recently, she spoke about her journey to motherhood during a press conference to promote her new thriller, Die My Love, at the Cannes Film Festival.
“Having children changes everything,” she explained. “So not only do they go into every decision of if I’m working, where I’m working, when I’m working, they’ve taught me — I mean, I didn’t know that I could feel so much and my job has a lot to do with emotion. It’s almost like feeling a blister or something — like, so sensitive.”
Lawrence proudly added, “They’ve changed my life, obviously, for the best and they’ve changed me creatively.”
