Janet Jackson: She’s In Control

Janet Jackson kicked off her Las Vegas residency with a New Year’s Eve show at the Resorts World Theatre, where she’ll perform 10 nights over two months. The 58-year-old first appeared in Sin City with her brothers’ band, the Jackson 5, in 1974.

She celebrated her golden anniversary on the strip in style in custom costumes — including a gold catsuit — by designer Thom Browne and footwear by Christian Louboutin. “This is just me, loving what I do,” the singer has said of being onstage. “Loving what I do and being grateful that God has allowed me to do what I enjoy and for people to still be interested.”
