Drake Maye and Sam Darnold may be known for winning games on the field, but they have also won in the game of love!
The two quarterbacks — who will face off in the Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8 — each have a special woman in their life.
The New England Patriots player, 23, got engaged to his childhood sweetheart Ann Michael in January 2025, and the pair, who have been together for over a decade, tied the knot in June.

Drake and Ann Michael, 22, hail from North Carolina and both attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ann Michael graduated in May 2025 and has gained a following on TikTok for her cooking and baking videos.
In a Monday, February 2, press conference, Maye shared some sweet words about Ann Michael, and said marriage was “one of the best decisions” he’s ever made.
“What a blessing it’s been to have Ann Michael, and to come home to someone who cares about my day and [I’m] able to hear something outside football and listen to what she’s done today, and just knowing that there’s a constant in my life, and that’s my wife,” he remarked. “Every day, I come home to somebody who’s herself and cares about me outside of who I am on the field.”

Maye also joked that Ann Michael is the “boss” at home, adding, “I don’t take that for granted how special she is to my career and my life.”
Additionally, Maye described having his wife cheer him on since middle school as “special,” noting, “I wouldn’t rather do it with anybody else.”
As for the Seattle Seahawks star, 28, he popped the question to his girlfriend, Katie Hoofnagle, in July.

Darnold and Hoofnagle — who graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2020 — went public with their relationship in 2023.
After the Seahawks beat the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC championship, Hoofnagle and Darnold shared a kiss on the field and expressed their love for each other with Hoofnagle exclaiming, “I’m so proud of you,” per a video obtained by ESPN.

Like Maye, Darnold gushed over his sweetheart during his Monday, February 2, presser, calling her “great.”
“She does a lot for me. She keeps me calm. She reminds me of why I do what I do, why I go to work every single day,” he admitted. “Even though it doesn’t really feel like work, I love this game, I love my teammates, love my coaching staff, it does not always feel like work. But sometimes, the season can get long. She makes it all worthwhile.”
