How Katy Perry’s Split From Orlando Bloom ‘Strengthened’ Her Friendship With Kim Kardashian (Exclusive)
Katy Perry‘s newfound single status has brought her closer to Kim Kardashian, according to a source.
A source tells Star that the singer, 40, used to be “so wrapped up in her relationship with Orlando [Bloom]” but since she ended her engagement to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, in June, “there’s a huge hole in her life and this renewed friendship with Kim has helped to fill that.”
While the “Teenage Dream” hitmaker is still on the road for her Lifetimes Tour, the source notes she and the 44-year-old Skims founder — who divorced husband Kanye West in 2022 — “have all kinds of plans” for when she’s home in L.A.
“She and Kim have been texting a ton and even having long calls,” the source explains. “They’ve been friends for years, but this has really strengthened their bond.”
The source shares that the two A-listers are “encouraging each other and pumping each other up about all the hot guys they can meet together.”
“They want to get out and have fun and go to parties and feel hot and desirable, they’re very excited,” adds the source.
Perry and The Kardashians alum spent some time together in May as they were both on Lauren Sánchez‘s bachelorette trip in Paris.
