‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Alum Chyler Leigh and Nathan West Call It Quits After 25 Years of Marriage
Another Hollywood couple bites the dust.
Chyler Leigh and Nathan West have split after more than two decades of marriage.
The Grey’s Anatomy alum, 44, revealed the news during a Tuesday, May 12, appearance on the Books That Changed My Life podcast and said their decision was an “amicable” one.
“I think getting to a point where my relationship with my ex had reached a point where it was just time,” Leigh explained. “It was time to let it go. Even after such a long time. We’d been together – it would be 26 years this year.”
The former couple share three children – Noah, 23, Taelyn, 19, and Anniston, 17 – and the Not Another Teen Movie star said that she and West, 47, were “doing all the things” that they could, including coparenting.
“[We] just hit a point where it was like, ‘Okay, what you want and what I want aren’t really lining up anymore.’ And I’d rather us be on good terms and us not harbor the resentment and the anger – all that stuff,” Leigh explained.
Leigh and the Bring It On star met in 1999 when they both auditioned for a show on the WB. She was just 16 at the time and West was 20.
“I came around the corner and he’s just kind of chilling on the ground,” the former Supergirl star said during a 2024 appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, per People. “I was like, ‘That’s the guy I’m gonna marry.'”
After being paired for a chemistry read that resulted in a kiss, the two eventually began dating.
Three years later, they officially tied the knot.
