Rebecca Gayheart Reportedly Split From Boyfriend Peter Morton Before Husband Eric Dane’s Death

Eric Dane’s widow, Rebecca Gayheart, reportedly ended things with boyfriend Peter Morton before her estranged husband’s death last month.

According to a Thursday, March 19, Page Six report, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress, 54, quietly split from the 78-year-old businessman in April of last year while her husband was still living with ALS.

Though Gayheart and Morton were reportedly last seen holding hands in December and giving each other a kiss while leaving a California restaurant, a source told the publication that it was not a date. Instead, they had just allegedly run into each other.

According to a source, “They are still friendly.”

Gayheart and Morton were first linked in 2023, years after she filed for divorce from the Grey’s Anatomy alum in February 2018. On March 7, 2025, the mother of two — who shares daughters, Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14, with Dane — filed to withdraw her divorce petition.

Though Gayheart and Dane were still married, they dated other people up until the Euphoria actor died at age 53 on February 19, less than a year after revealing his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis.

Following Dane’s death, his posthumous memoir, My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments, will be released later this year.

The actor also recorded his final interview for Netflix’s Famous Last Words series, which was available to stream after his death.

The emotional interview, which was said to be conducted in secret, features Dane speaking directly to his teenage daughters towards the end of the special.

“Billie and Georgia, you are my heart,” he told his children. “You are my everything. Good night. I love you. Those are my last words.”
