‘Girls’ and ‘Broad City’ Fans Will Love HBO’s New West Coast-Based Comedy, ‘I Love LA’

Ambitious Maia (Rachel Sennott) is 27 but just treading water at the social-media agency where she works because her boss (Leighton Meester) won’t greenlight a promotion.

Then her former BFF, over-the-top influencer Tallulah (Odessa A’zion), makes an unexpected, unwelcome arrival on Maia’s doorstep — complicating her life and her relationship with her chill schoolteacher boyfriend Dylan (Josh Hutcherson).

A Girls meets Broad City for Gen Z set on the Left Coast, this funny, frenetically paced series will appeal to all generations.
