He’s moved on, and he wants everyone else to, too! After nearly two years of deflecting questions, Joe Alwyn has finally addressed his split from Taylor Swift.

Asked whether he thought his six-plus-year relationship with the superstar had overshadowed his career, the 33-year-old, currently in The Brutalist, told the U.K. Guardian he was focusing on “controlling what I can control.” Seeming to reference Taylor, 35, he called interest in his personal life “noise,” explaining, “I think I’ve done what lots of people who find themselves in the public eye do, which is just try and ignore it.”

The danger, he continued, was getting caught up in public perception: “You’re living from the outside in. And then you’re pretty f**ked.” A source tells Star that Taylor — happily dating Travis Kelce — is glad her ex has moved on. “She doesn’t bear any grudges and wishes him the best,” says the source. “She’s relieved he’s doing well, that’s all.”
