Kyle Richards Clarifies Bisexual Rumors: ‘My Mind Has Opened Up’

Kyle Richards’s sexuality is quickly becoming one of the biggest reality television mysteries of all time. The longtime Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star first sparked speculation when, amid her separation from her husband Mauricio Umansky in 2023, she struck up a very close friendship with country singer Morgan Wade.

Since then, Richards’s costars and fans have questioned if the pair may be dating, and while the 56-year-old hasn’t confirmed anything, she has been publicly dropping hints that she may be bisexual in the lead up to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 premiere on December 4.

“I could go Brad, I could go Angelina,” said Richards in a trailer for the new season which dropped on November 7. More recently, the Halloween star was asked to elaborate in an interview with Variety.

When asked if that comment was her coming out as bisexual, Richards responded, “I don’t like labels, I guess.” She went on to note that she made the comment to make her costars laugh, but didn’t exactly try to set the record straight.

“I think people can think whatever they want,” she said. “I always had a type, tall, dark and handsome, and that’s what I married. I am growing and evolving, and my mind has opened up. So I don’t know. I don’t know what the future holds now, and I’m fine with that.”

When the two Variety interviewers revealed that they were both lesbians, Richards replied, “Ha! That would never have crossed my mind before, ever in my life — and now I’m like, that’s totally an option. I’m just here to see what life brings me, honestly. I don’t want to be set up with anybody. Whatever happens, happens, and I’m good with that. I like hanging out with myself alone too.”
