Dax Shepard inadvertently listened to one of Billy Crudup’s romantic encounters.
On Monday, November 17, the Almost Famous star, 57, appeared on the 50-year-old comedian’sArmchair Expert podcast, and the pair recalled a memorable moment.
“I one time had the rare honor of hearing Billy make love,” Shepard confessed. “I want to keep it as clean and not offensive to Billy as possible, but I’ve never ever, ever heard someone receive that much pleasure in my life. I felt very inept and insecure.”
However, Crudup wasn’t so sure it was him that the podcast host heard, as he insisted, “I’m convinced there were other people in the house. That was not coming from my vicinity.”

The CHiPs actor went on to compliment Crudup’s abilities in bed and joked that he hasn’t been able to make his wife, Kristen Bell, sound like that.
“The calls of pleasure, I just was like, ‘when’s this going to end?’ But anyway, when I saw Billy, I just had to tell him, I think about that often, and that was 20 years ago,” Shepard admitted. “Still, Kristen’s never made noises like I heard some 20 years ago.”
“I was like, ‘I should bring them water,’” he added. “’I’m worried about everyone’s hydration.’”
As Star previously reported, Bell, 45, faced backlash about her controversial anniversary post for Shepard — with whom she shares children Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9 — last month.
The Good Place alum posted a sweet photo hugging Shepard, captioning it: “Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you,’” Bell penned. ‘A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.’❤️.”
