Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum Collin Gosselin claims the reality show didn’t always share the, well, reality.
“Late nights like this I often think about how so many people are still upset that a show they watched for years portrayed a false narrative, while hiding so many dark secrets,” Collin wrote via his Instagram Story on Tuesday, November 25. “Many people on social media have come to say some very horrible things about me.”
He continued, “I have one message for them: No matter how many hurtful things you say to me, I will never stop advocating for scapegoated children and abused children. NEVER. EVER.”
Kate Gosselin gained full custody of her eight children – 25-year-old twins Mady and Cara, and 21-year-old sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Aaden, Joel, Leah, and Alexis – after her divorce from their father, Jon Gosselin in 2009.
Collin and Hannah would later move in with their father after Kate had Collin institutionalized, claiming he was exhibiting “violent behavior.”
“I remember when my mom would send my siblings off to school every day and then put her hands on me and drive scarring words into my head,” Collin continued on Tuesday. “I remember how I had to pretend like everything was fine once my siblings returned home. I also know that there is a growing epidemic of child abuse and child exploitation across the globe. I will use my voice and experiences to address that epidemic. Keep coming for me, [and] I will keep advocating.”

In 2024, Kate’s lawyer Richard Puelo addressed Collin’s past allegations against his mother.
“She never wants to comment because she always knows that this gets taken out of context,” Puelo told Fox News at the time. “She doesn’t want to comment. Doesn’t need to. The record speaks for itself.”
He added, “The facts belie the truth. Whatever took place, the ones that are truthful are the ones that took place.”
Collin previously revealed he was discharged from the United States Marine Corp after it was discovered he had been institutionalized in his youth.
“They don’t need any deeper reason. Being in an institution, that’s good enough for [them] to discharge [you],” he told Entertainment Tonight in August 2024.
