Cher Recently Found Out She ‘Has a Secret 15-Year-Old Granddaughter’ Through Elijah Blue Allman: Source

Cher played a grandmother in 2018’s Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, and revealed at the premiere that she wished she was one in real life, per The Mirror.

Now, her wish seems to have come true.

Cher was “shocked” to learn that her troubled son, Elijah Blue Allman, has a 15-year-old daughter, who he kept from her for years, a source told The Daily Enquirer for a story published on Thursday, April 2.

The “Believe” singer, 79, only recently confirmed the news after having “contact with the mother,” the source told the outlet, even though the musician, 49, “has known for the whole time. He’s met her and there are pictures of the pair.”

The Daily Enquirer obtained an exclusive image of the alleged granddaughter, though her face has been obscured to protect her privacy.

According to The Daily Enquirer’s source, Elijah Blue, whose father is late rocker Greg Allman, didn’t tell his mother because of their “damaged relationship.”

As Star previously reported, the pair were embroiled in an emotional legal battle in 2023 when Cher attempted to place a conservatorship on her son, who has struggled with addiction and mental health issues.

Elijah became “resentful,” a source told Star at the time. “He was horrified his mother had tried to take over his life, Britney Spears–style,” referring to the pop star’s infamous battle to get out of a 13-year conservatorship largely managed by her father, “and it plunged him into an even worse place mentally than he was in already.”

Cher’s bid was dismissed in 2024, but Elijah Blue “is clearly in a terrible state” again, following two arrests in three days in New Hampshire earlier this year, the source told The Daily Enquirer.

At the first, he was caught allegedly trespassing at a prep school, which he told cops he wanted his child to potentially attend, a school administrator wrote in an email to parents, per the Concord Monitor.

“It’s obvious he’s in no condition to be a parent,” the source says. “He needs to look after himself now, try to avoid jail and then somehow get back on track.”

“In the meantime his kid’s mom is protecting his daughter and keeping them apart,” continued the source. “She’s like a mama bear and focusing on the daughter’s needs more than anything else.”
