Carrie Underwood is a pro when it comes to touring, but there’s one behind-the-scenes bit that remains a challenge.
In a recent Nashville press conference, the country star, 43, revealed, “The hardest part of touring is figuring out what songs you’re not going to do,” according to a Taste of Country article published Thursday, April 2.

“I can’t be on stage for four hours singing my songs,” the American Idol judge added. “After two hours of my songs, I’m like, ‘Eww,’ and, ‘I’m hurtin.'”
The last time the eight-time Grammy Award winner hit the road was for her Denim & Rhinestones Tour, which ran from October 2022 to March 2023.

In a June 2022 interview with Extra, the mom of two — who shares sons Isaiah, 11, and Jacob, 7, with husband Mike Fisher — discussed life on tour and how she gets to focus more on exercise during that time period.
“I feel like it’s easier to maintain a routine when I’m on tour because I don’t have a house to clean, I don’t have kids to cook for because there’s catering and room service and stuff like that,” she remarked. “I usually work out longer when I’m on the road just because I have more time.”
