Cardi B’s Baby Daddy Stefon Diggs Caught in Paternity Lawsuit With Ex Amid Pregnancy News
Just one day after Cardi B announced she’s expecting a child with Stefon Diggs, 31, news broke that the NFL star is dealing with a paternity drama.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Fashionnova ambassador Aileen Lopera filed a paternity suit in December 2024 claiming the New England Patriots wide receiver is the father of her 5-month-old daughter, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera.
The papers also reportedly show that Lopera — who goes by Lord Gisselle on social media — is requesting full legal and physical custody of the child, with Diggs receiving only visitation rights. She also asked the courts to order Diggs to pay her pregnancy expenses, birth costs and attorney fees.
Diggs responded to the lawsuit in July, per Page Six, stating in legal documents that he was “not certain” if he fathered Charliee, who was born on April 2. The athlete requested genetic testing to determine paternity.
As Star previously reported on Wednesday, September 17, Cardi, 32, confirmed on CBS Mornings that she’s pregnant with Diggs’ child. “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” she told Gayle King, adding she’s due before her Little Miss Drama tour kicks off in February 2026.
The Grammy winner also gushed about feeling supported by Diggs, who recently spoiled her with a $73,000 Patek Philippe watch. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident,” Cardi said. “And it makes you feel like you could take over the world.”
According to Page Six, if genetic tests confirm Diggs is Charliee’s father, he wants joint legal and physical custody, plus shared responsibility for pregnancy and legal expenses.
Cardi shares three children — Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 12 months — with estranged husband Offset, 33, whom she filed for divorced from last year. Diggs also has an 8-year-old daughter, Nova, from a previous relationship.
Despite the paternity drama swirling around her new beau, Cardi told King she’s “in a good space” and feels “very strong” while promoting her new album Am I The Drama?
