Cameron Diaz Proves She’s Aging Gracefully While Stepping Out in NYC Bare-Faced and Dressed Down

Is that you, Cam? On Aug. 3, Cameron Diaz stepped out in New York City — and the Charlie’s Angels star hardly looked like a Hollywood glamour girl.

Dressed down in double denim, wearing glasses and with her hair up in a messy bun, the 52-year-old resembled any busy mom of two. (She shares Raddix, 5, and Cardinal, 16 months, with husband of 10 years, Benji Madden.)

The actress has been vocal about the harmful beauty standards of the entertainment business. “It’s hard not to look at yourself and judge yourself against other markers of beauty,” she admitted on Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers podcast. “You’re just sitting in front of the mirror, and it’s just toxic. You start to pick yourself apart.”

While stepping away from acting to focus on motherhood and her organic wine line, Cameron penned two books to help women to learn to love their bodies. Though she’s admitted to trying — and not liking — Botox, she wrote in The Body Book, “I look at aging like this: getting older is a blessing and a privilege, and if you lay the foundation for a healthy life in your younger years, your older years may very well be some of the best of your life.”
