Britney Spears Blasts Her ‘Cruel’ Exes in Unfiltered Rant During an ‘Extremely Shady Week’
Britney Spears is taking the men in her past to task for their toxic behavior.
On Tuesday, June 10, the Princess of Pop, 43, shared an explosive Instagram post calling out two of her exes while detailing her experience during an ”extremely shady week.” However, the “Gimme More” singer did not reveal which former flames she was referring to in the since-deleted post.
“I dated two f**king complete a**holes,” she wrote in the post’s lengthy caption. “I realized I loved their dogs more than them and I think it’s because their dogs bowed to me every time I entered the room!!!”
“Now the guys were of course cruel humans that never even acknowledged me and never held my hand in the car for 6 years !!!” she wrote.
Spears went on to make one thing clear, writing, “I choose animals over people anyday!!!”
The Grammy Award winner has had numerous high-profile relationships throughout the years, notably dating Justin Timberlake in the early 2000s. In 2004, she married her backup dancer, Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons, Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden, 18. The pair divorced in 2007.
Spears then met Sam Asghari on set for her music video “Slumber Party” in 2016 and eventually tied the knot with him in June 2022. However, Asghari, 31, filed for divorce in August 2023 after a little over a year of marriage.
On Monday, June 9, Asghari appeared on Page Six Radio and discussed how his relationship with Spears affected his acting career.
“I can’t sit here and lie and say, ‘It wasn’t good for me,’” the former fitness trainer admitted.

“When you’re in such a public relationship, that gives you that platform — it sort of gave me that platform for who I am,” Asghari explained, “but I was going there anyway because we met on an acting set.”
“We met as coworkers, and I was already auditioning,” the Traitors alum added. “Did it question certain things? Did it make me, you know, have to work harder to prove myself? Absolutely.”
Spears and Asghari have both moved on from their short-lived marriage. Asghari went Instagram official with his girlfriend, LA-based real estate agent Brooke Irvine, on New Year’s Day. Meanwhile, Spears was romantically linked to her handyman, Paul Soliz, as the couple was spotted out in L.A. together in 2024, but they have reportedly split.
