Months ago, fans were shelling out up to $800 for Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour. But now that the tour has opened, kicking off at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., April 28, some ticket buyers are outraged that there are apparently thousands of seats available for as low as $57.50 at some venues.

“It’s extremely frustrating,” one concertgoer told NBC News, criticizing Ticketmaster for giving “the illusion that the concert was selling out or sold out when I was in the presale.”

That’s just one knock against the 43-year-old’s lavish production, which highlights her Grammy-winning country-themed album and looks back at her entire career. Some were also appalled that the singer — who endorsed presidential candidate Kamala Harris — sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” dressed in an American flag.

“She looks like a conservative woman allied with the Republicans,” says one commenter. However, others defended the “America Has a Problem” singer, saying she was making a point by mashing up the anthem with her song “Freedom.” Said one, “People don’t understand the artistic vision.”

An insider tells Star the singer — whose daughters, Blue Ivy, 13, and 7-year-old Rumi, join her onstage to sing — is “disappointed” by both the criticism and the sagging attendance (she has no say over the price of seats). “It’s not a good way to start a tour.” But as the rave reviews come in from music critics, she’s staying positive. “She’s just trying to focus on what she can control and do her best.”
