It was a great year for some celebs… and a not so good one for others. Star rounds up the biggest feuds, best makeovers, sweetest romances and more of hollywood’s ups and downs.

Best Makeover – Kris Jenner

The world’s most famous momager didn’t just turn back the clock in 2025 — she reset it. The Kardashian family matriarch drew across-the-board praise from fans and medical experts after she debuted the results of a deep-plane facelift performed by NYC surgeon Steven Levine last spring, six months before her 70th birthday. “I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” Kris, who documented her 2011 procedure on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, told Vogue Arabia in August. “For me, this is aging gracefully.”

Ugliest Fight – Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni

The It Ends With Us costars’ unending legal battle has been a series of he said/she said allegations about sexual harassment, defamation and retaliation. Tawdry details from court documents include Justin, 41, admitting to Blake’s attorney that he told the 38-year-old he was circumcised — without her asking — while he released a video that seemed to show her improvising a kiss. As both fight to be vindicated, their long-set trial has been delayed by an NYC judge until March 9.

Most Cringe – Duchess Meghan

The Duchess of Sussex’s 2025 was packed with moments that made even loyal royal-watchers squirm. The word that followed her everywhere? Cringe. From a Harper’s Bazaar profile in which a friend’s house manager formally announced her presence by declaiming her full royal title — despite only the writer being present — to eye-rolling puns like “fon-don’t” and “drop the beet” on her cooking and entertaining Netflix holiday special, With Love, Meghan, viewers winced. Critics had first piled on after the series’ March debut, but when the 44-year-old corrected guest Mindy Kaling for calling her “Meghan Markle,” insisting, “I’m ‘Sussex’ now,” the internet did the rest.

Most Surprising Couple – Billy Ray Cyrus & Elizabeth Hurley

Absolutely no one had the country music star and the glamorous British model-actress on their 2025 couples bingo card. The pair first crossed paths filming Christmas in Paradise in 2022 but didn’t reconnect until Liz, 60, unexpectedly reached out to offer support after learning Billy Ray, 64, had gone through a messy 2024 divorce from his third wife, Australian singer Firerose. Something sparked, and they went public in April. By June, he was calling her “the love of my life,” while she publicly confirmed, “I’m in love.”

Biggest Deal – Hailey Bieber

It’s the ultimate business flex. The model-influencer cemented her mogul status in May when e.l.f. acquired her skincare brand, Rhode, in a blockbuster $1 billion deal — one of the biggest for a celeb-backed company since T-Mobile bought Ryan Reynolds’ Mint Mobile for $1.3 billion in 2023. Founded in 2022, Rhode turned the glazed-donut skin aesthetic into a phenomenon — and has now made the new mom, 29, richer than her pop-star hubby, Justin Bieber, 31: She’s worth an estimated $300 million to his $200 million!

Biggest Bombs – Sydney Sweeney

Once considered an ingénue, the breakout star of Euphoria and The White Lotus endured a tough year at the box office, led by the gritty boxing biopic Christy, which opened to a dismal $1.3 million — one of the worst wide-release flops ever. “We don’t always just make art for numbers, we make it for impact,” the 28-year-old wrote on Instagram, defending the film as “the most impactful project of my life.” But with her other recent movies, Eden and Americana, also fizzling — and her American Eagle “great jeans” ads accused of promoting eugenics — 2025 was humbling.

Best Proposal – Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce

It’s a love story — and baby, she said yes! After two years of dating, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end secretly had the backyard of his Leawood, Kan., home transformed into a floral wonderland while he and the Grammy winner, both 36, were inside recording an August episode of his New Heights podcast. Later that day, he got down on one knee and bejeweled her hand with a brilliant-cut old mine diamond ring. Taylor later said he “crushed it,” rating his proposal a “10 out of 10.”

Most Shocking Takedown – Andrew & Fergie

By order of his brother King Charles III, in October the 65-year-old was stripped of his royal titles and honors and booted out of his posh digs at Windsor’s Royal Lodge alongside ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 66, as the result of the pair’s ties with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, he’s repeatedly denied claims that he had sex with Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide in April, when she was a teen while Sarah, who was dropped by multiple charities after an email surfaced in which she called Epstein a “supreme friend,” claims she felt threatened by him at the time, per PBS.

Cutest Couple – Jennifer Aniston & Jim Curtis

Under his spell! After two failed marriages, the Friends star’s love life has entered a joyful new chapter. Jen, 56, was first seen out with Jim, a hypnotist, spiritual educator and self-help author, this summer. Then, the pair made things Instagram-official in November when she wished him a happy 50th birthday, calling him “my love” and “cherished.” He replied with a kissy-face emoji then shared a carousel of pics featuring the Morning Show star. “If this is a dream,” he wrote, “I don’t want to wake up.”

Best Comeback – Princess Kate

After a year defined by strength and recovery, 2025 became a season of renewal for the Princess of Wales. The 43-year-old shared in January that she was in remission following her 2024 cancer diagnosis and gradually returned to public life, increasing her engagements as the year went on. By the fall, she’d hit her stride and even debuted a talked-about new look — lighter, longer locks — before settling with Prince William, 43, and their three children into bucolic Forest Lodge, the new “forever home” meant to anchor the family’s next chapter.

“The truth is, nobody knows how dark things got,” an insider tells Star. “Kate didn’t want to upset people by sharing the grim details of what she went through.”

In November, however, William opened up about the difficult time. “It’s been dreadful,” he told reporters during a trip to South Africa. “It’s probably been the hardest year of my life.”

Now, the couple is looking forward, and, as his father, King Charles III, also battles cancer, stepping up to take on a larger role in the royal family.

“Kate is fully focused on staying fit and healthy and readying herself to rule,” says the insider. “She’s ready to be queen.”

Most Shocking Split – Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban

For nearly two decades, the Oscar winner and the country singer, both 58, projected rock-solid devotion — which made their September split all the more stunning.
