Southern sleuth Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) takes on his most dangerous case yet — a murder in a small church in upstate New York. A young priest, Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor), has been sent to the town to keep an eye on hate-spewing hellfire-and-brimstone Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin).

But when Wicks is murdered, Father Jud finds himself the main suspect. Craig is brilliant as always, as is the supporting cast, including Jeremy Renner as a sleazy Andrew Tate–type and the show-stealing Glenn Close as a holier-than-thou church lady.
