Avril Lavigne is lending her star power to help a beloved Los Angeles skate shop rebuild after it was destroyed in the Palisades Fire earlier this year.

The “Sk8er Boi” hitmaker, 40, designed a custom, limited-edition hoodie for Paliskates, a popular skate shop and hangout in the Pacific Palisades, with 100% of the proceeds going to rebuild.

“Thank you, Avril Lavigne, for stepping up, helping us dust off and hit the pavement again,” Paliskates wrote on Instagram. The store, owned by Erica Simpson, was a hub for local skate culture for 25 years until it was destroyed when a massive wildfire tore through the area in January.

The hoodie is available for $188 for a limited time, and features a skull and cross skateboards in place of crossbones, with the Paliskates name down one sleeve and Lavigne’s name down the other, against a vintage black background.

“We are heartbroken to see all the loss throughout the whole Palisades community and our heart goes out to everyone affected. We are going to use this as tragic event to bounce back stronger than ever,” Paliskates wrote in a message on its website after the fire. “This is not the end of 1021 N Swarthmore Ave, we along with all Palisades residents will unite and rebuild our beloved community. Thank you for all of the memories and support.”

“Sk8er Boi” was released in 2002 as the second single from Lavigne’s debut album “Let Go,” just a few years after Paliskates opened in 1999. The song became a Top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100, and has since gone triple platinum.
