ASAP Rocky Arrives at Lollapalooza Set More Than 15 Minutes Late — and Via a Helicopter!
ASAP Rocky sure knows how to make an entrance: For his set at Lollapalooza, the “Jukebox Joints” rapper arrived more than 15 minutes late via a model helicopter, sporting pink hair curlers and with a megaphone in hand.
Once the 36-year-old touched down on the Bud Light stage, Rocky (real name: Rakim Mayers) performed his hits as well as covers of House of Pain’s “Jump Around” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” alongside metal detector props.
Despite having his mic cut off at 10 P.M. to adhere to the festival’s curfew, he appeared to have had a blast, telling the roaring audience, “I’m so grateful and humble for this opportunity.”
