Travis Kelce Is ‘Missing’ Wife Taylor Swift as He Gears Up for NFL Season in Kansas City

Jumping back into the NFL season means Travis Kelce has to spend time away from Taylor Swift, which is reportedly difficult for him this year now that they are officially married.

As Star previously reported, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the pop star, both 36, tied the knot over the Fourth of July weekend at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The athlete wrapped up training camp this month and is in Kansas City as the NFL season begins in September.

In the Friday, August 28 edition of Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack, a source shared that the Super Bowl champion “hates being away” from the singer-songwriter.

“He knew exactly what returning to football meant, but being newly married has changed everything,” the source explained. “Missing her hits differently now.”

“This stopped being about money a long time ago,” the source pointed out. “Travis has nothing left to prove. He has the rings, the fame and the woman he loves.”

The source noted that “this will absolutely be his final season,” and he “realizes how much life with Taylor he’s missing.”

The “So High School” hitmaker was spotted at a wedding with fellow A-listers in the U.K. on Saturday, August 15, which Kelce was seemingly unable to attend because of football.

While Kelce may be grappling with being away from Swift, an insider shared that overall he’s “completely dialed in on this NFL season right now,” and is “focused on football, his team and having the best season he possibly can,” per a Page Six article published on Thursday, August 27.

“They both still light up when they refer to each other as husband and wife, and there’s something really exciting and special about that for them,” the insider added about the newlyweds.
