It doesn’t look like this one’s going to turn into a bitter breakup! Both Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo seem to be remaining optimistic despite news of their recent split.
The surprising news that the couple of three years was ending things broke on Thursday. Later that night, the “Talk Dirty” singer opened up about the situation during a radio interview. “Everything’s cool man,” he said. “It’s not a bad situation, it’s not one of those kinds of things.”
His longtime girlfriend also had a positive outlook, tweeting to her fans Friday, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened,” with a heart emoji.
The now-exes were seen flaunting their PDA as recently as one month ago, at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 24. Maybe we shouldn’t close the book on this one just yet!
