One big red chair is filled for Season 7 of The Voice! On the show’s official Twitter page, it’s been revealed that Pharrell Williams will serve as one of the judges on next season of NBC’s hit reality singing competition show.
“Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach for SEASON 7,” the tweet read. Shortly after, the “Happy” singer added, “This is going to be so fun.”
Pharrell served as a guest mentor for Usher’s team back in Season 4.
This news comes weeks after CeeLo Green announced that he would not be returning to the show. So far, it has not been revealed who will sit next to Pharrell in the judges’ chairs — including, which, if any, of the former coaches will return! Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have been on the show from Seasons 1-6, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo on 1, 2, 3 and 5, and Shakira and Usher on 4 and 6.
