Houdini’s leading man disappeared after Hugh Jackman dropped out of the Broadway play in December. However, less than a month later, the actor already has plan to return to the stage in next season’s play The River.
The news comes after Hugh revealed he “wasn’t able to commit to the time” his role in Houdini would’ve required. He had been attached to the project since January 2012.
Meanwhile, another A-lister will also be returning to the theater. Daniel Radcliffe is set to join a limited engagement of The Cripple of Inishmaan from April 20 until July 20. His appearance will miss the Tony Awards deadline by four days.
