Mischa Barton has basically been irrelevant since she wrapped up her role as Marissa Cooper on The O.C. in 2006, but she does make a quick appearance in one of this summer’s hit movies The Bling Ring. Okay…so she doesn’t exactly make the appearance, but her name is mentioned!
Unfortunately, the name-drop isn’t exactly in the actress’ favor, because it’s in reference to her 2008 DUI arrest — and Mischa is not happy about it! “Really #sofiacoppola #theblingring my name? Shame on you,” she tweeted Wednesday.
And Mischa didn’t stop there. Nope, instead she decided to continue her rant on the movie, of which she’s clearly not a fan. “The whole idea of this movie, granted, I haven’t seen it, creeps me out #theblingring . #undeserved,” she added. On Thursday, she continued her tirade against the film by writing, “Why does this movie sound so awful! Wish it didn’t exist #theblingring.”
The Bling Ring stars Emma Watson and tells the real-life story of a group of young adults who rob the houses of celebrities like Paris Hilton and even Mischa’s former The O.C. co-star Rachel Bilson. Check it out in theaters now…unless you’re on Team Mischa…then you probably shouldn’t…
