Weeks before he was publicly accused of sexual assault, Garth Brooks revealed that after his Las Vegas residency ended in March, he planned to step back from performing so Trisha Yearwood could step into the spotlight. “I think my job for 2025 is to be the plus-one,” he said. “My wife is sweet enough to be there for me every time I need her. I need to return that.”

He’s been making good on that promise. In recent months, Trisha’s been performing everywhere from Nashville’s famed Bluebird Café and L.A.’s Troubadour to Kelly Clarkson’s and Jimmy Kimmel’s talk shows, singing tracks that she wrote or cowrote. “I’ve always written a little bit, but I’ve never called myself a songwriter,” she told Kelly.

Now, she mused, fans can experience a different side of her and maybe think, “Here’s something I didn’t know.” On April 30, Trisha will launch a seven-city concert series: “My first tour in over five years,” she joyfully announced.
