Tom Cruise Praises Ana De Armas in New Interview ‘She is a Force’

Tom Cruise sang Ana de Armas‘s praises over the weekend.

On Sunday, May 18, the legendary actor, 62, attended the New York City premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning — the latest installment in the Mission: Impossible movie franchise he stars in. The Top Gun actor gushed over the 37-year-old starlet’s acting skills while speaking to Access Hollywood at the event.

“Her ability is incredible. There’s an actress that has dramatic chops, someone who’s comedic, very, very talented,” he told the outlet. “You see her in Ballerina, and you look at Keanu [Reeves] and her together. [She’s] just a great actress, and we’re very excited…She is a force.”

Per Deadline, Cruise and the Knives Out actress are reportedly set to star in a new “undersea supernatural” film called Deeper and are doing the “diving training required for the project.”

The Jerry Maguire actor stayed tight-lipped about his project with de Armas but did tell Access Hollywood the stunts “were gonna be outstanding.”

He continued, “We’ve got several stuff that Mchugh [Christopher McQuarrie] and I are working on some stuff, also with Doug Liman. I don’t wanna say too much, but it’s epic.”

This marks the second time the three-time Golden Globe Award winner praised de Armas last week. He first exclaimed in an Instagram video that her new film, Ballerina: From the World of John Wick, “kicks a**.”

In February, fans began speculating that the two A-listers were an item after they were seen hanging out together in London over Valentine’s Day weekend. The movie stars have been spotted together multiple times since the start of the year but have not publicly confirmed their romance.

The Blonde actress, for her part, appeared on Good Morning America last week and shared that she was looking forward to collaborating with the Oscar-nominated actor.

“We’re definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman, Christopher McQuarrie, and, of course, Tom,” she told anchor Michael Strahan. “And I’m so excited.”
