The Hilarious Reason Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa’s 9-Year-Old Son Wants Another Sibling

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack’s son Brayden is ready for another sibling — and his reasoning is hilariously on-brand for an older brother.

On Wednesday, May 14, Brayden, 9, sat down for an interview with E! alongside his HGTV star dad and stepmom, Heather Rae, and revealed he would love another child in the house. Tarek, 43, and Heather, 37, share one son, Tristan, 2.

“Well, I want another kid to get Tristan away from me,” the little one confessed.

Tarek also shares 14-year-old daughter Taylor, with Haack. Meanwhile, the Christina on the Coast star is a mom to son Hudson, 5, whom she shares with her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead.

Tarek, Heather, and Haack have worked together as a blended family, even starring alongside each other in the house-flipping show The Flip Off.

“We already got four kids. We just need one more,” Brayden quipped.

As for what Heather thinks, she told E! in an interview earlier this month that she and the real estate developer were “in talks” about expanding the family.

“We’re in the see what happens phase,” she remarked. “I have been vocal, probably more than my husband would like, that I would love to have another baby.”

Heather noted that forming a bond with her stepkids made her realize she wanted a child of her own.

“I was lucky enough to become a stepmom to Taylor and Brayden six years ago, and I fell in love with them,” she gushed. “And then that made me want to have my own.”

Heather said that her love for motherhood deepened after giving birth to Tristan.

“Having Tristan made me realize, like, I love being a mom. I love being a stepmom. It brings so much joy to my life that, why not want more?”

On Mother’s Day, Tarek posted an Instagram carousel with pictures of his sweetheart and wrote some kind words about her in the caption.

“To my wife @theheatherraeelmoussa — watching you become a mother to Tristan has been the most beautiful chapter of our journey,” he wrote on the platform. “You love him with every piece of your heart. And the love you give Tay and Bray… it’s something I’ll never stop being thankful for.”

“You are the calm, the joy, and the strength in our family,” he continued. “We’re so lucky to have you.”
