‘Teen Mom’ Alum Farrah Abraham’s Daughter Sophia, 16, Sends Fans Into Frenzy With Massive Tattoo Reveal

Farrah Abraham’s daughter, Sophia, has gotten her first tattoo.

The 16-year-old revealed the ink — three large bats on either side of her stomach — in an Instagram video posted Wednesday. The mother-daughter duo, who rose to fame on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant when Abraham was pregnant with Sophia at the same age, teased followers by making it seem like Sophia might be expecting.

“I have a surprise for you guys,” read the text above the video, which began with the teen holding her belly and looking worried. A woman was then heard screaming, “Oh, my God!” as Abraham mouthed along.

Sophia then lifted her shirt to show the new tattoo, with the words “I got my first tattoo!!” flashing across the screen.

Abraham leaned forward to examine the artwork and laughed in apparent relief that she wasn’t becoming a grandmother at 34.

The reaction online was mixed. Some praised the former Teen Mom star for letting Sophia express herself, while others argued the teen is too young for permanent body art.

“I understand a child being free to do whatever they want and express themselves but there’s always a time when things should be done,” one critic wrote. “That age is too young no matter if the parent approves it. Rules need to be set……maybe I’m old school but that’s how I think.”

Another accused Abraham of acting “more [of] a friend than a mom.”

Supporters also chimed in. “I love how she’s literally completely opposite from you and you don’t treat her any different because of it,” one person commented.

Another added, “I honestly love Farrah for accepting her daughter for exactly who she wants to be. And supporting her 100%.”

Abraham has not publicly addressed the latest criticism. She previously defended giving Sophia multiple facial piercings for her 14th birthday.
