Some of the most iconic players in international soccer — along with leading figures off the pitch — are scheduled to attend THE FORUM, developed by Atlético de Madrid and Apollo Sports Capital, at the Madrid stadium on Thursday, April 23, according to a newly released agenda obtained by Star.
Following a welcome speech by Atlético de Madrid president Enrique Cerezo, the event will be broken into several thematic blocks.
The Football Business Industry will be the first focus of the day. Atlético chief executive Miguel Ángel Gil is set to present his perspective on the future of the sector, before introducing a roundtable of some of the most influential figures in international football. Paris Saint-Germain president and ECA Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano, and Inter Miami CF owner Jorge Mas are expected to discuss how top clubs are managed on a global scale.
After an Investment Funds in Sports session, the spotlight will turn to international expansion and growth. In the Spanish Brands Become Global block, leaders including LaLiga president Javier Tabas and and the Royal Spanish Football Federation president Rafael Louzán sharing their insights and experiences.
Warning: A second Football Business Industry roundtable may leave some guests starstruck. Legendary footballers David Villa and Luis Figo will be joined by powerhouse agent Jorge Mendes, whose clients include Lamine Yamal and Vitinha, and Spanish women’s team head coach Sonia Bermúdez to discuss the future of the sport.
