Goat of the sidelines! Simone Biles has brought her trademark enthusiasm to the role of NFL WAG, as a source confirms the gold medal gymnast relishes every chance to cheer on her hubby of more than a year, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. “She loves hanging out at the games with the other wives and girlfriends and supporting her husband,” says the source, adding that despite being the most decorated gymnast in history, the 27-year-old “is just one of the gals” at Bears games. “She gets along with everyone.”
The 11-time Olympic medalist, who recently shared game-day shots on Instagram, has shown unwavering support for Jonathan, 29, at every turn, jumping to his defense when a comment he made last year about being “the catch” in their relationship went viral. “I’m like, ‘Why [is the internet] talking about my husband like this?’” she said. “If anybody’s met him, they know he’s the sweetest guy and will do anything for anybody.”
It goes both ways. The NFL star famously negotiated time off from preseason practice to watch Simone win four medals in the Paris Summer Olympics — as captured in the Netflix doc Simone Biles Rising. “He wouldn’t have missed it,” says the source. Toward the end of the documentary, Simone weighed her options of trying for the 2028 Games or retiring and starting a family. “They talk about having kids,” says the source of the couple. “But they have things they want to accomplish first. They’re enjoying the ride.”
