Selena Gomez Set to Be a Bridesmaid at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding
Selena Gomez is ready to stand by Taylor Swift‘s side.
The Only Murders in the Building star, 33, is going to be a bridesmaid when her best friend marries Travis Kelce in a star-studded celebration at Madison Square Garden, a source told Page Six on Thursday, July 2.
Swift, 36, and Gomez — who have been friends since 2008 when Swift was dating Joe Jonas and Gomez was dating Nick Jonas — even performed together at The Garden in the past. In 2011, they sang Gomez’s “Who Says” during Swift’s Speak Now World Tour.
Though the Wizards of Waverly Place alum didn’t say where she was going on Thursday night, she shared an Instagram Story of her seemingly in a car en route to MSG as she used some of her Rare Beauty makeup to apply finishing touches to her face.
Other people arriving at The Garden on Thursday included Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Rachel Antonoff, Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson, Greg Olsen and Aric Jones, according to People.
The Girls creator, 40, was spotted in a large black car in the streets of Manhattan, according to an Instagram video shared by the publication.
Dunham’s ex-boyfriend Jack, 42 — who has frequently collaborated with Swift — was seen wearing a suit as he made his way to The Garden, and his sister Rachel, 45, was reportedly wearing a pink feathered dress.
Earlier in the day, People confirmed that Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, arrived in New York City.
Star previously reported that Gomez and Gigi Hadid were planning Swift’s bachelorette party, according to a source, and that it was “all a complete surprise” to the “Invisible String” singer.
At the time, the source told Star that Gomez and Hadid, 31, “told her the date and what to pack [but] otherwise” she was “pretty much in the dark.”
About 100 of Swift and Kelce’s pals are expected tonight at The Garden for what is said to be the rehearsal dinner. A lavish, extravagant celebration with approximately 1,000 people is reportedly planned for Friday, July 3.
TMZ obtained video on Thursday showing a white Chevrolet Suburban, believed to be carrying the pop star, pulling into MSG.
A permit — for a “Special Event at MSG” — obtained by the Associated Press said that festivities will start at 5 p.m. on Friday and go until the early hours of Saturday morning, closing several blocks in Manhattan.
