Savannah Guthrie’s husband, Michael Feldman, has broken his silence on Nancy Guthrie, his missing mother-in-law.

Feldman, 57, told Page Six on Tuesday, February 3 that while he doesn’t “have anything new to report,” he’s grateful for the media’s “thoughtfulness.” He also added that he feels “mostly unhelpful” in the situation, but right now he’s “just being responsive.”

Nancy, 83, was reported missing on Sunday, February 1, after she was last seen at her home in Catalina Foothills, Arizona, on the night prior. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said that a friend notified one of Nancy’s adult children when she didn’t show up for church on Sunday morning, People reported. The family member rushed over to Nancy’s home, but she wasn’t there.

Since then, Nanos has given several updates regarding the situation. He previously described the state of Nancy’s home as “seriously concerning” and said that it was a “crime scene.” Earlier today he told NBC News’ Liz Kreuk that finding Nancy was a “race against time.”

Law enforcement sources also spoke to the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday, February 3, about the situation and revealed that they discovered blood inside the home. However, it remains unclear whose blood was found. The sources also said that there were signs of forced entry and Nancy’s wallet, car and cell phone were located at the house.

Savannah, 54, has not returned to Today since news of her mom made headlines, but she did release a statement, which her cohost Craig Melvin read on air during the Monday, February 2 episode.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support. Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom,” the statement read. “We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900.”
