There are bad breakups — and then there’s this. On April 15, Chrisley Knows Best alum Savannah Chrisley revealed the bizarre reason for her recent split from former college football player Robert Shiver after two years together.

The 27-year-old announced that the relationship had collapsed because of a murder-for-hire plot against Robert, 39, by his estranged wife, Lindsay Shiver.

“I would love to say, ‘I don’t want to give her the notoriety that she has so badly been seeking,’ but I feel like that’s the only way to go,” Savannah said on her Unlocked podcast, blaming the former beauty queen for causing “so much mass destruction” to the romance.

Back in 2023, Lindsay, along with her Bahamian boyfriend Terrance Bethel, were accused of planning to hire an alleged hitman, Faron Newbold Jr., to off her ex, who had accused her of being unfaithful.

Police had accidentally been clued in to the plot while investigating Terrence’s phone over an unrelated burglary in the Bahamas.

All three were arrested in July 2023 and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

“She had to stay in the Bahamas for a while, and while she was there, life was great,” Savannah said of Lindsay, who shares three kids with her ex. “We were in our routines with not only Robert and I, but also the kids. There was no drama. It was a drama-free zone.”

Things changed, the reality star claimed, after Lindsay posted $100,000 bail and returned to the States earlier this year. (Her trial is set to begin in August.)

“The chaos came back with her,” Savannah said. “It’s like she wanted to destroy everything in Robert’s path.”

(Savannah also alleged that Lindsay tried to get the court to prevent her from spending time with the children.)

Eventually, she said, it was too much for her to handle.

“I don’t think I will ever forgive her,” she said, pledging to stay close to Robert’s sons.

“Not only are you grieving the loss of the person you were in the relationship with, you’re also grieving the loss of the relationship you had with those children.”
