Prince Harry reportedly has no plans to meet up with his father, King Charles III, when he comes to London for a court date later this month — and Rob Shuter revealed why in his Naughty But Nice Substack on Thursday, January 8.
Charles, 77, “is in complete control. If he wanted a father-son reunion, it would happen,” a source told Shuter, noting that despite the thaw that began with an hour-long tea in September, “there’s just no desire on either side right now.”
A second insider acknowledged that Harry, 41, will only be in town for a brief visit as part of his trial against the publisher of the Daily Mail, so his schedule is “tight,” but also insists “that’s not the real issue. It’s a mutual choice. A sit-down isn’t in the cards.”

As The Telegraph has reported, Charles will not only be at his home in Scotland when Harry is in London, but he also “has no wish to be linked to any court proceedings.”
And while Harry is keen to continue rebuilding his relationship with his father so his kids, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, can “know their heritage,” he would also prefer to focus on his legal battles. This visit “is strictly transactional — court, lawyers, nothing else.”
