Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Clash Over Her ‘Embarrassing’ Friendship With Kris Jenner

Prince Harry has no desire to keep up with the Kardashians — and it’s causing friction in his marriage to Meghan Markle, a source tells Star.

The As Ever founder is especially close to Kris Jenner, with the momager frequently posting about Meghan’s products on Instagram, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“When Harry left the U.K. and his life there, he never imagined he’d find himself in a situation where he’d be getting pressured to cozy up to the Kardashians,” spills the source. “It’s all pretty surreal and, honestly, a little embarrassing for Harry. He means no disrespect to Kris or the family, but that whole Hollywood scene is just not who he is.”

After attending the matriarch’s 70th birthday party last November, the couple were famously caught up in a picture scandal dubbed “Photogate.”

At the time, rumors swirled that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, had demanded the Kardashians delete social media snaps featuring them at the Beverly Hills event, which fell during Remembrance Day weekend in the U.K.

Kim Kardashian later claimed on the Khloé in Wonder Land podcast that the whole ordeal was “really innocent “— though she did seem to admit the Sussexes initially approved the pics only to change their minds.

“Harry was so uncomfortable at the party,” the source dishes. “The truth is, Harry would much rather stay home and read a book than spend the night making small talk with a bunch of social climbers posing for photos.”

According to the source, the Suits alum isn’t on the same page.

“Meghan wants Kris in her corner — she says she’s a huge asset,” the source says. “She loves that Kris publicly supports her and hypes up her projects online. So to have Harry making waves over their friendship is not going over well with her at all.”
