Tamar Braxton Announces New Musical — You Won’t Believe Who Her Costar Is!

Tamar, 41, announced the good news on social media. She shared the show’s poster, which features both her and Snoop, 46. She wrote, “So me and uncle @snoopdogg is going on tour? singing, acting, rapping and being who we are!!!! your city will be posted soon! #getchalife #redemptionofaDog”

The musical chronicles the life of a rapper who has to choose between fame and fortune and family and the love of his life. It features music by Snoop, including songs from his recent gospel album.

The rap legend told Playbill, “Please believe you've never seen urban theatre like this! With my flavor and his expertise, we're gonna bring the people an unmissable show. I can't wait for everyone out there to see it!”

The musical will open in Houston, Texas this October, before touring the country through the fall.

This is great news from Tamar, who’s been having a bit of a difficult year. Her family’s reality show, Braxton Family Values, might be ending over a pay dispute. She was ridiculed on a Delta flight last month. And she’s going through a messy divorce from husband Vince Herbert.
