Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler have been going through a weird period in their relationship. Ever since he retired from professional football in 2017 and she began their reality show, Very Cavallari, Jay has become a stay-at-home dad while she brings home the bacon. “I couldn’t do any of this without him. He’s home with the kids, picking the boys up from school and really allowing me to be able to have the time and freedom to do all this. He’s been really supportive,” she continued.

In addition to her reality show, which E! renewed for a second season, Kristin also has her store Uncommon James. The company will soon be branching out into kids clothing, so Jay’s dad duties are definitely appreciated.

“I call him my farmhand because he’s been planting trees around the house. He’s been taking care of all the animals,” Kristin said. “I’m just giving him time. I’m not gonna pressure him. He worked his a— off for so many years, so I get that all he’s ever known is football. He’s gonna figure it out.”

Jay has also relished the chance to show off his droll sense of humor on the show. “Coming from the football world where people didn’t get his personality, it’s been really nice for me and him [to have fans] appreciate him and see the real side of Jay,” his wife revealed.

The only family members who don’t show up on the program are their kids, Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor. But when the little ones are around, they love watching filming on the monitors.

The Hills: New Beginnings, but she’s excited to watch. “There’s a part of me that’s really sad I can’t be part of the show, but
Heidi [Pratt] and I have joked that maybe we could swap an episode,” she said.
