Kaley Cuoco showed fans her intense cupping and scraping session in a new video posted to Instagram. She claimed it was the only thing keeping her body from “shutting down.” The Big Bang Theory star seemed to be in a ton of pain while she went through the procedure.

Kaley, 33, shared the session with her followers. The cupping and scraping uses a jade gua sha, a Chinese tool that scrapes at the skin to release muscle tissue and improve circulation.

“I’m so tight I can barely bend or turn. I haven’t been able to actually move in weeks,” she explained about her need for the treatment.

She said the treatment had become an important part of her self-care routine after her intense workouts. “I go a few weeks and then I end up not being able to walk,” she said about her time at the gym. “I think my body just starts to shut down from just complete overuse. If I don’t take care of it, I’m going to crumble. You’ve got to take care of yourself in order to be able to take care of the things around you.”
