Bella Thorne opened up about her difficult relationship with her mom, Tamara, in a new interview. The actress told Keke Plamer that she wished her mom had raised her differently. Instead, she grew up wanting, “acceptance… appreciation and love.”

“I wanted an education, I wanted to feel like I could speak, I wanted a lot of things. But I never spoke up so you can only blame people around you so much before obviously you start blaming yourself,” she admitted.

“We're so much closer now. On a realistic level, me and my mom were best friends growing up so now I think this is the closest we've ever been in life to understanding one another. For both of us being honest with our opinions,” she explained about how their relationship changed.
